keepers, payouts, trading and other rules
KEEPERS
- Each team will keep 3 players per sport
- Keepers do not have an expiry date. You can keep a player for the duration of his career
- Keepers must be announced one week before the draft
PAYOUTS
- 50% of the total prize pool will go towards the overall prizes (Paying out top three spots)
- 12.5% of the total prize pool will be divided amongst the winners of each respective sport (Paying out first and second place respectively)
OVERALL SCORING SYSTEM
- Each sport will award points for placement in the year end standings as well as the total points accumulated in the regular season (regardless of Head to Head record)
- End of year standings will award as follows:
- 1st = 24 points, 2nd = 22 points, 3rd = 20 points........12th = 2 points
- Regular season aggregate points will award points as follows:
-1st = 12 points, 2nd = 11 points, 3rd = 10 points........12th = 1 point
TRADES
- There will be no vetoing of trades. Players who agree on a trade will immediately have the trade go through
- Should there be evidence of collusion, the players involved will be removed from their league and their buyin will not be refunded. They will be replaced by non douches
- You may trade draft picks for the next year
- The trade deadline for each sport will be posted on Yahoo.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
- Any player that will be eligible for his respective leagues draft in that calendar year is free to acquire any time after the draft (following a one week window directly after the draft)
- If you know of the next Connor McDavid you must wait until his draft year before picking him up. Should you pick up a player and said player does not declare for the draft (applicable to NFL, NBA and MLB) then said player will be removed from your roster and you will have to fill that spot with a different free agent
DRAFT
- Drafts will use a lottery based on the overall standings from the previous year to determine draft order with the lowest place team picking first each round.
- There is no required order for the sports in which you will draft. You can draft all 15 of your hockey players with your first 15 picks should you prefer to use that strategy. You cannot, however, draft more players in a sport than you have roster spots available for.
WAIVERS
- Waiver priority will be set based on a previously determined rotation.
- Waiver priority will be rolling. If you claim a player you will drop to 12th and if you are 1st priority and do not claim anyone you will remain 1st regardless of your teams record.
SIDE BETS
- Side bets are encouraged in this league but it is up to you to keep track of your action
- Should a player fail to pay up on a side bet that has been made public (in the forums of the Yahoo leagues or on this website) that player will not be asked to return to the league and all rosters will be inherited by a new, non douchy player
MONEY COLLECTION/PAYOUTS
- Entry fees will be preferred to be paid in full at the draft but if arrangements are made then alternative dates for payment will be accepted
- Only players who have paid will be eligible to collect winnings (obviously). Winning players will be paid out as soon as possible after the conclusion of each sport.
ODD NUMBER OF MANAGERS
-Should there be an odd number of managers a "ghost" team will be created with players who are on the free agency list. All players on the "ghost" team are free to pick up as free agents.
IN SEASON PLAY
-All disputes during the season will be put to a league vote where a majority decision will determine the result
-All managers are responsible for setting their rosters. If a lineup is not set on Yahoo (or whatever scoring site is being used), then the team must contend with whatever lineup they have
-Trades must involve players from the same season. For example, a baseball player from the 2018 season must be traded for a player in the 2018-19 season of hockey, basketball or football. Once a sport is over (baseball and football), any trades involving those players can ONLY involve players rights for the following season and cannot involve roster movement on active teams.
-Draft picks can be traded
IF A MANAGER RESIGNS
-If one manager decides not to be in the league, their roster will be transferred to a new person. Any trades that they wish to make must be approved by the league.
-If more than one manager decides to leave, then an expansion draft will occur with new managers selecting from the rosters of the vacant spots.
- Each team will keep 3 players per sport
